 “The importance of being prompt”
To be prompt is to be on time for something important for example for basketball practice or soccer. People who are always on time are really people who arrive early every day--and acknowledge that things can go wrong to set them back several minutes. When things do "go wrong" these students arrive on time. Students that are always on time are the people who get good grades and get into great colleges. For work if you get there early your boss may appreciate it and give you a raise. If you have a doctor appointment at four or three then be there on time. For moms they have to be prompt because they got their job or there house work they have to go for their little kids and cook diner then get there kids ready for bed. That’s if they have little kids. If you get late for an appointment then you will be waiting linger because you weren’t there on time. Especially if you have a job interview you will look bad and you may not get the job because the manager might think you come late every day. For example if you have a job that’s very far then you come late and make up excuses like “it takes me an hour to get up, dress, eat, and drive”. Those people should get up an half an hour earlier to get their on time. They might just live like 30 minutes from their job. If you own your own business and you are always late to the job then people will not work for you because they don’t want a boss that is always late. It might make the other workers think they can come in late. Another example of being prompt is if you go into the army. If you wake up late then they make you run, do pushups, or anything they want u to do.
